[VIDEO] DEATH OF WINNIE MANDELA UNRAVELS SOUTH AFRICAN’S FREEDOM AS SHADY

Since the passing of former First Lady of South Africa, the feminist world as well as the south African youths seems to be vetting their anger on Nelson Mandela who they said did not tell them the truth of how their country’s freedom came to be.

The hashtag #winnie takes to twitter after a documentary was released on the journey of Winnie Madela during the anti-apartheid war which revealed somethings about the past of Nelson Mandela’s shady deal with the white folks who colonized South Africa. Reports gathered revealed that Winnie was the one who negotiated Mandela’s release from prison after 27 years and that Nelson Mandela was isolated in prison so as to manipulate him and strike a deal with him in how to preach peace to his people and secure the presidential seat.

Winnie Mandela’s Biography

Winnie had some challenges back in history during the anti-apartheid period in South Africa when she was said to be responsible for the death of a seventeen year old boy, a situation which led to the divorce in 1996. Some criticized Madela for forgiving the white folks for doing terrible things to his country and its people and yet found it difficult to forgive his wife who fought side-by-side with him through the struggle.

Most South Africans now claim that Mandela’s statue be removed from the Union Building and from the country’s currency and replace them with winnie’s because they feel in truth she deserves the accolades better. The then ANC has been trashed and labeled cruel for treating Winnie Mandela the way they did.

All her life as an activist, Winnie never stopped fighting for the masses and she was tagged a woman of valour and that is why the nation mourns her loss. Until the great ones go, we never know how much they have changed this world. Rest in Peace Winnie Madikizela Mandela.
