Anthony Joshua Looses Heavyweight Reign
On Saturday, now former heavyweight champion lost his glory belts to Oleksandr Usyk after a cool reign of five years, loosing it to Andy Ruiz in 2019 and getting it back the same year.
Oleksandr Usyk took over the reign on Saturday to become the new heavyweight champion of the world by winning through a unanimous vote in a twelve round fight by the judges. Although no knock outs or knock downs were recorded throughout the fight.
According to recent reports gathered from Joshua’s camp, the former champion is keen on having a rematch to reclaim his title but no date has been fixed for that yet. It appears it will be a clause in the fight contract that requires the honouring of a rematch.
