Sunday Igboho is in the news lately. He has launched a campaign against Fulani herdsmen in the Southwestern part of Nigeria and has been successful in his last two campaigns.
But the same could not be said about the Endsars campaign last year when youths in the southern part of Nigeria went on to protest against police brutality which led to the death of many without the course yielding any tangible result till now.
The same goes for the terrorist sect group Boko Haram. They have consistently been a serious issue to deal with in the Northern part of Nigeria and the government still finds it hard to contain them.
Against them was a group set up to campaign for the release of abducted girls also, the girls are yet to be released.
Seems the federal government only responds well to violence because Sunday Igboho is yet to be arrested despite several threats to do so by the Nigerian police.
On the other hand, It seems only people like our political leaders can handle them well because they all understand what works for one party and the others.
