THE ROISTERING, DRUNKEN AND DOOMED POET CALLED DYLAN THOMAS

A certain man in history not much talked about in the world of poetry but rather stumbled on as it matches with his drunken nature. In several quotes Dylan has expressed his love for beer and a child born into the world in 1914 left so early in the year 1953 at exactly age 39.

The reason why this young man strikes my attention is because some people have been seen as “Not belonging to this world”. They create their own world, fun and often they don’t hold anything against life, they live through it without fear and they find success without looking for it. The attitude people like Dylan have towards life is quiet weird because they see life as a place of fun. The young man before his death wrote a popular poetry which remains evergreen till today, called “Do not go gentle into that good night” describing his attitude to life and how he sees it. He also wrote a poem titled “And death shall have no dominion” “…though lovers be lost but love will not and death shall have no dominion”.

His talent was stumbled on, his star was searched for and after it was found, he did not still do much with the fame because he didn’t know how to live it. People like him has no craving for wealth. They are of the heart. Beautiful souls like this exists among us today and we do not take them into cognizance because we feel they are weird or stupid.

Here are some of his quotes while he existed. I hope you make sense out of it like I did.

“I hold a beast, an angel and a madman in me”.

“He who finds rest finds boredom. He who finds work finds rest”

“I love you so much I will not be able to tell you”dylan
