The report has it that former Senate President, Bukola Saraki’s presidential campaign posters were seen in Abuja, which still makes me wonder why anyone still wants to be the president of Nigeria.
The reserve is empty and the federation account has gone bankrupt. They now print money to run the affairs of the country, well more like printing money to pay themselves which is illegal on so many grounds.
Back to the matter of the day. Saraki might be contesting under the People’s Democratic Party as expected, which makes him a contender of the same pedigree as Bola Tinubu.
Saraki will contest the north with Tinubu and a good fight will happen in the southwest if Saraki’s intentions are genuine. Nigerians will vote because they always choose the necessary evil and since Buhari cannot run for office again, Saraki might just be a force come 2023.
And from the look of things, it seems Saraki has former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s blessings to go ahead. so, it might be contention between a political godfather against another.
