The crusade which targets 30 million people from all the African countries is a 5 days programme, slated for 8th to 12th of November to take place in Lagos Nigeria, is to free Nigerians from all its social vices which has militated against its development. Apostle Alexander Bamgbola, , Central Working Committee, Reinhard Bonnke’s Farewell Crusade 2017, revealed the tag of the five days crusade as ‘Passing The Burning Touch’ According to him, “Nigeria has great potentials but it’s being held down by demonic forces militating against it, the result is what we see as social vices that have held down economic growth. Inflation has remained high at double digit, just as unemployment rate ensures that more than 29 million employable youths remain jobless.” The Chairman express the sad occurrences in the country and stating that 65% population of the country lives in poverty. He explained that harassment, corruption, rape of minors is now a daily thing in Nigeria and it is therefore important for the country to be cleansed of these social vices.
The last time Bonnke visited the country was eight years ago and many Nigerians still have a memory of the impactful crusade and the power of God in a magnificent way reaching out and healing people using the German Evangelist. “He is coming here for a farewell crusade, that will bring succour to troubled souls in the country to set the numerous captives free, because God wants to restore hope and cleanse the air from spiritual pollution,” Revd. Bamgbola said.
