Two police officers were accused of causing an accident in Uyo,Akwa Ibom State yesterday for being under the influence of alcohol broke the traffic light rules and the police Toyota Hilux ran into a mini bus owned by Stanford Microfinance Bank. The accident was reported by a Facebook user Michael Sunday Esu who claimed that the accident left a lot of people injured. and not less than 0 people in total.
The accident which occurred at Oron road by Edet Akpan Avenue(4lane), took the intervention of the speaker of the Akwa Ibom State House Of Assembly Rt.Hon.Barr.Onofiok Luke who to ordered for the immediate treatment of the injured passengers at Premier Medical Center at Edet Akpan Avenue,Uyo.
A clear case of the insubordination of the Nigeria Police Force that has being going on for a long time. It is uncertain the health state of the Police officers in question, but this action should cost the police officers their jobs as they drunk-driving, a crime the force itself claims is punishable if violated by any citizen.A vivid case of hen the justice system is to be judged.
