NLC Protest Blocks Abuja Airport

NLC Protest

The Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) made a public statement last week saying that they were going to take action after the NLC president, Joe Ajaero, was assaulted and brutalized, which was led by officers of the police force but consisting of both state and non-state actors. The NLC alleged that there were strong indications that the syndicate was executing the orders of Governor Hope Uzodimma.

The labor unions organized a protest on Thursday morning at Nnamdi Azikiwe international airport in Abuja leaving traveling passengers currently stranded and unable to continue their journey due to the protest.

The protesters, who blocked the entrance of the airport are the Nigeria Labor Congress (NLC)and the Trade Union Congress (TUC).


Passengers was stocked in and out of the airport ,both entry point and exit point were blocked and they have no choice than to trek into the airport because It has cause a heavy traffic around the airport.
There’s no positive news yet about stopping the protest yet.
