NIGERIAN CHURCHES HYPNOTIC CIRCUS SHOWS (PART 1)

The power of religion cannot be over-emphasized since it is referred to as the first structure of this world and the pillar of acceptance mostly the unanswered angles of life is accorded to religion. The western world sees the church as a place to earn power politically.

Old Britain, Italy, and Paris all have to get the religious support of the high priests before attaining any political positions; they also construct the rules for power. They are referred to as “the all-seeing eyes” or “power behind the throne”.

But it is massively different in Africa and in Nigeria as this copy identifies with. In Nigeria, aside the numerous diversities and denominations, the power of the church is becoming what one will call a hypnotic event. They dictate the believer’s life, way of living, finances, marital life, perception of life. What then is left for the believers to control with common sense as given by God himself?

Lives have been rearranged by these pastors. Believers forget to acknowledge the human side of church leaders and begin to replace the real God with a man-god. Believers now worship pastors. Doing what the pastor says, living the life the pastor acknowledge as acceptable. We take the word of a man as the word of God and become a victim of this hypnotic religious era.

The Bible is the universally accepted fundamental guideline for believers, believers are meant to compare the word of a preacher side-by-side with the word of God to see the correlation or synergy before taking life decisions.

A man of God recently said to his followers on marrying a woman who can cook. So, the part of the Bible that asks men to LOVE THEIR WIFE without a particular reason leaves the statement as compromising the word of God in the Bible. Does this mean that cooking should be a criterion of marrying a woman? Is it one of her duties for being in existence?
