THE MASQUERADE HAS PROMISED TO DANCE AGAIN

Jokingly, it seems like the country’s masquerade wants to dance again come 2019. Out of the forest into the jungle, he has passed through but we cannot find his footprint anywhere.

They say that is an unfair statement. Kindly pardon me.

To be fair, let there be clarification. Numbers of soldiers were deployed to Sambisa to fight terrorists and a lot of soldiers died and more girls have been kidnapped despite our country’s negotiation with terrorist to free Boko Haram Prisoners for some kidnapped girl’s freedom. So, maybe another set of Boko Haram prisoners needs to go free again.

Major agenda to fight corruption is going across the border to Ghana, a round-of applause. We are yet to see the list of government stakeholders who syphoned fund during the last administration. Neither do we know how much the EFCC has gathered. Let us all be aware that the present administration’s tenure will be over by 2019. Which means we have waited for a feedback for three years counting.

Oh! Maybe the government is slow. May be we need to cut him some slack because of his 6 months medical break. As the strength is being regained, the momentum to re-run for the presidential seat becomes possible.

Let us leave the herdsmen fight to God after losing over 100 people in Benue before our president decided to mock the governor of Benue with a visit to indirectly state that he is not accountable to lives in Benue State by saying he was not aware the IGP was not in Benue to attend to the issue. Please, this is simply a repeat in the president’s lose of memory during Maina’s reinstatement saga which has been shut down right now after the Attorney-General was ready to remind him he made the call. Let’s pretend it is not the same tactics here.

President Muhammadu Buhari has been likened to a masquerade in this context because he has easily made evil a tradition, Islam and ethnicity a culture and above it all, he now finds a way to dance in these costumes again and oppress.

Think about it, recall things you could not get done this year due to the country’s hardship, multiply it by two to envisage what is to come if he retains the position come 2019.

I can only wish him well.
