Attorney –General of the Federation and Justice minister, Abubakar Malami shows confidence over the letter released confirming him as the mastermind behind the reinstatement of the Former Chairman to the President Task Force on Pension Reform, Alhaji. Abdulrasheed Maina.
In an exclusive interview with the press, the law practitioner flexed his muscles stating that he knows the right things to do by law and will explain his angle over the issue before the senate committee investing the case.
AGF Malami said “I am a legal practitioner, who is always guided by law and public interest and will therefore not do anything that deviates from the law or breaches public interest.
“I believe that Nigerians are entitled to know the truth in the entire saga and I am ready to speak directly to them when I appear before the Senate since I have been summoned by the legislature, which is investigating the matter.
“I will not, however,talk until I get clearance from my principal on the matter and I look forward to addressing anxious Nigerians on the matter when I appear before the senators.”
Credible sources also confirmed the dubious reinstatement stating that the civil service has its own codes on all forms and files and the 4029 is not a code issued by the Head of Civil Service, it should have been “FC4029,” if it was directly from the Head of Civil Service. The source explained that the action of the person who signed the letter on behalf of the Head of Civil Service intends to mislead the public.
And therefore, pulling the Head of Civil Service, Mrs. Winifred Oyo-Ita was a wrong thing and confirmed that the Civil Service is gathering evidences to vindicate Oyo-Ita from the matter. From all indication, Malami sounds like a man who had a back up to carry out the orders of reinstating Maina and expose the source which might link to the presidency.
