Those called to give us God are taking God from us and replacing themselves with Him.
The church cannot be trusted anymore. A sacred place for desperate souls to find answers through beliefs and practice of religion are left with more questions rather than answers. The cardinals are pedophiles, the catechists are molesters, the pastors are rapists and embezzlers. I also wrote on the hot and cold of the 21st century churches, you can read here.
More and more, the atrocities will not stop and people are beginning to leave the church and turning away from righteous paths. Something similar to self-medication. They sought answers for themselves now and the society is in shambles. Spirituality has always been a technique to administer morals and discipline in the society, with the absence of that, all we will have is lawlessness.
They are not to be blamed after all. When the world leaves a soul cold and searching and the only source perceived as the all knowing is breached with immorality in the eye of the lost, they see nothing but hopelessness and that is costly. It means more are walking lost all around the world, which means, more are less than what they should be.
