Swedish multinational clothing-retail company, H & M Hennes & Mauritz AB which has a reputation for its fast-fashion clothing for men, women, teenagers and children recently posted an advert for new children hoodies and dropped a racial bomb.
The advert which featured a black kid wearing a sweatshirt hoodie with the caption ‘Coolest Monkey In The Jungle’ has raised an uproar as major celebrities in the entertainment industry shows and air their disappointment over the company’s insensitive ad.
The most shocking thing yet to record on the matter is that, non African-Americans are keeping mum over the issue making one think they take sides with H&M on the racial ad. Besides, at this time and age, should African Americans still be concerned about racial comments despite its none life threatening angle of attack?
