Dogara Bags 10 Years Jail Term

Managing Director, Dogab Oil Limited, Abubakar Shuaib Dogara has been sentenced to ten years imprisonment and payment of fine to victims of 2 million Naira for forgery and obtaining money by false pretence to the tune of Five Million, Five Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira at the Federal High Court in Port Harcourt.

Dogara who was arraigned on 18 March, 2013 on an 11-count amended charge bordering on forgery and obtaining money by false pretence, brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), was found guilty on all 11-counts and amended charges by Justice Agumoh and consequently convicted and sentenced him to ten years imprisonment on each of the charges without an option of fine.

The judge has also ordered the convict to restitute the remaining balance of the money to the victim, within one year starting from the day of conviction.
