Florence Otedola daughter of multi-millionaire Femi Otedola, popularly known as “Dj Cuppy” in a report gathered by Vangard News, confirms break up with Nigerian footballer and Beijing Enterprises striker in a recent interview. She further maintained they are both still good friends.
She blamed the break up on distance, time difference as Victor resides in China and Cuppy is back in Nigeria after her just concluded study from King’s College, University of London, with a degree in business and French. She further explained that tight schedules was part of what strained the relationship.
She however declares her enthusiasm to live outside her multi-millionaire father’s shadow and create a niche for herself in the entertainment industry if she is to be respected and leave a legacy behind. She explained that apart from her father’s connection to secure her a platform, she express her passion as a disc jockey, further stating that she has taken up gigs to work twice as hard to achieve her dreams and goals as a successful disc jockey in Africa. ‘I am scared of always being his (Otedola’s) daughter and not getting past that, for me that means not being successful enough, ‘I am still masked by my dad’s success. If I didn’t try and make it outside Nigeria I would be unhappy.’ she said.
