Conspiracy Following Dora Akunyili’s Husband

Husband to the famous former NAFDAC Director-General was murdered at Ukpor junction in Anambra state by unknown gunmen. Since then, the speculations going around is that there was a reason for his death and it is part of a ‘phase 2’ factor in the ongoing insecurity issues in the country.

Mrs Dora’s Death
Based on the information, there were several attempts against Dora’s life before her sudden illness and death at 50+. It was said that she stepped on many toes of prominent members of the society who had to go through her for their businesses.

During her tenure, she confiscated several fake drugs from the pharmaceutical systems and that did not go down well with a lot of people.

She was diagnosed with cervical cancer which at a time was ruled as a misdiagnostic and later on identified as an ailment she has. Dora was seen frail and thin during her last public appearance before her death. A lot of people speculated that as a pharmacist herself, she would have known if she had cancer and would have done more for herself. She was said to have been killed through mundane means.

Could the husband’s death be linked to the wife’s?

IPOB Link

IPOB spokesman speculated that Dr Chike Akunyili, husband to Mrs Dora Akunyili was killed because of his association with IPOB. The Indigenous People of Biafra have been on the agitating side of breaking away from Nigeria to become a republic of its own, an idea that does not sit well with the government of the day.

The insecurity in the country has intensified the IPOB campaign which has forced the hands of the government to make moves against the South-Easterners with the use of security agencies to shut down protests and mobilizations.

And with the recent speculation that the northerners want to remain in power, as well as the sponsorship of the bandits and terrorist group, Boko Haram by norther leaders, the southerners are being hunted on all fronts.

The Phase 2 Factor

According to an interview granted by former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria, Mailafia Obadiah on Naija Info, he revealed that he met with some Boko Haram leaders and he was told the sect is being sponsored by a northern governor and when they (Boko Haram)are done killing in the rural north, they will enter urban cities and begin to kill prominent men by 2022.

Is this phase 2? Did it come earlier than expected? What are we to expect in the coming days as Nigeria celebrates its 61st Independence Day today.
