Buhari Shot In The Leg With His Guns

For sometimes now, Buhari’s guns have missed their aim and they fire in wrong directions for wrong purposes and the President has no one to blame but himself for keeping unlicensed weapons in his home. Buhari took his time to hand-pick these guns to help  him fight against corruption, but it seems the guns are not meant for the war chosen.

Speaking literally from the angle of the ministerial appointments which he picked himself after taking the Senate on a shoppping spay for them. Today, these ministers are the ones soiling everything Buhari stands for. Everyday, the news opens a new loop-hole against Buhari’s-led administration and even his wife adds salt to the injury.

First, Wife of the president laments about the Health Clinic in Aso Rock and the poor state of the Clinic’s facilities and materials after the public rant, investigation was conducted and a whole bin of corruption was traced to the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Husain Muni. Till date, we only heard of Aisha Buhari’s noise and the probe, but no further comment on the issue.

Moving on, Like Aisha had not done enough, Kachikwu will not have Baru’s insubordination towards his portfolio as the Minister for Petroleum for State, he had to inform the president, but it seems the channel through which the President Buhari receive such complains happened to be leaking the day Kachikwu decided to write him and the social media got the letter before the president could lay his hands on them. The case was reviewed and certain awarded contracts were questioned, Baru could only defend himself by saying he is not answerable to Kachikwu but the presidency and before we could say Jack Robinson, Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo jumped to Baru’s rescue and that is the end of the issue.

And now, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Justice Minister, Abubakar Malami has reinstated a wanted fraudster, Abdulrasheed Maina  after a letter was dogged out of the Federal Civil Service archive. The AGF said “I will not, However, say anything until I consult with my principals on the matter…” The principals will be those who gave the order, those we have heard about to have hijacked Buhari’s government without his knowledge, those who feel they can do as they please with no one questioning them.

If Buhari had known that it was not the AGF’s personal decision to reinstate Maina, he might have had a re-think of how he publicly sacked Maina and asked for the immediate probe of his reinstatement. The situation is messy for Buhari’s administration and his race for presidency come 2019.

The Buhari-led administration promised transparency, expecting to show us the faces of the corrupt officials of the past administration, only to find his own face in the mirror too, who will judge the case of a justice with its own crimes?
