Bola Tinubu: Don’t Be Easily Trusting

After the swearing in of President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, every of his move seems good and corresponds with what the country needs, but his moves can quickly distract us from long-term decisions that might not be all that favourable.  Hence, Nigerians should not be easily trusting.

First was the subsidy removal and to couching the effect, President Bola Tinubu is trying to distract Nigerians with enough food and enough money in their pockets for just food by ‘looking into’ the minimum wage and palliatives.

Now, the student loan bill has been passed into law, to make people feel just about enough relief from their burdens, but what is the ending way to be unburdened? Or what is the long-term plan for Nigerians to be burden free of debt and overweighing expenses? Is it ever possible?

President, Bola Tinubu is not the usual average joe of a president like we are used to, he is smart and a politician to his core, which means, we must question every bill; every law and policies and this responsibility is mainly on the reps, senators and the elites in the country.

It is important to note that establishing the All Progressive Congress (APC) is a top priority for him to a state where the party is almost unchallenged in the country for a very long time and that way, being the major founder of the political party, he probably gets to direct the affairs of this country years down the line.

It is therefore up to Nigerians to get the best from Tinubu because he can deliver exactly what this nation needs, but not without the necessary guidelines and watchful eyes that make him act right almost all the time.

From all indications, his ambition aligns with our demands for his first tenure in office. He needs good governance to ride on and pedigree, thus, we can benefit from that, but he will also be selfish with some things that might not be for the greater good of the country long-term and those are the things we as Nigerians must not watch slip past us.
