Atiku Set To End Longtime Feud With Obasanjo

Nigerian former Vice-President, Atiku Abubakar is said to be prepared to end the bad blood between himself and his former boss, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo which began shortly after their first tenure in office.  Vice President Atiku who left his former party APC hanging is said to be holding meetings with PDP stakeholders for a presidential ticket ahead of the 2019 presidential election.

The notion of ending the feud between the two men of power was revealed by Atiku’s media adviser,  Mazi Paul Ibe, who spoke on behalf of his principal in Abuja on Sunday. Mazi noted that his boss will stop at nothing even if it meant to bury the hatchet with the enemy just to carry everyone along in his present quest.

“His Excellency, former Vice -President Atiku Abubakar, is a savvy politician and he will not discountenance the importance of carrying everybody along in order to build a consensus.” Mazi said. Although, it is said that the idea to bury the hatchet with Obasanjo was revealed by the immediate past President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan who refers to Obasanjo as “Boss of the Bosses” expressing that no one can go ahead in the game of power without connecting with Olusegun Obasanjo .
