‘Aso Villa Drinks Blood’-Fani Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation and chieftain of the Peoples Democratic Party, Femi Fani-Kayode, revealed that, no first family goes in and comes out complete and whole. He raised his concerns for President Buhari after he recalled that the president has lost a daughter three years before the 2015 election and prays they come out whole after Buhari’s tenure.

“Whichever way May 2018 will be the three year mark of Buhari in the Presidential Villa and I hope and pray that he and his wife will be as lucky as President Jonathan and First Lady Patience Jonathan were. It is incumbent on us all to pray for them.”

Fani Kayode traced the history of the blood sucking villa to 1960 when the first premiere of the western region, Chief. Obafemi Awolowo lost his first son, second son and second daughter respectively during his rule.  He also recalled the ordeal his own father, Chief Remilekun Fani-Kayode faced as the Deputy Premier of the Western Region, who also lost his second son while in office.

Fani Kayode also revealed that President Olusegun Obasanjo, Nigeria’s second democratically elected President lost four wives and one son many years ago whilst Sir Ahmadu Bello, the Premier of the Northern Region, lost two sons and one daughter. Awolowo and Obasanjo went to jail for three years each whilst Ahmadu Bello went to jail for three months.

The revelation is not new to Nigerians and can no longer be termed as coincidence as issues surrounding the first families in Aso Villa face the risk of loosing a close relative. Those considered lucky and void of the curse where the former first family, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan who did not lose his life neither did his wife, but there were families kidnapped, the first lady,Patience Jonathan went through surgical procedures several times to save her life, including the car accident involving a woman who was said to have trained the First Lady while she was growing up and who she (the first lady) consider as a mother to her.

The Nigerian first family indeed needs our prayer at this point.
