African elites and political holders especially from South Africa and Nigeria have termed the international countries’ travel ban apartheid after South Africa came out to identify that a new variant has mutated from a town in South Africa.
What Was Expected of China
The whole world criticized China for not making public its discovery of Coronavirus in late 2019 which affected the whole world and the virus keeps mutating from Beta to Delta and now Micron. What was much said back when Coronavirus came out of Wuhan China, was how countries would have taken proper precaution from letting the virus spread across the world by enforcing lockdowns and travel bans earlier.
Now, the Micron variant information got out early enough, but the measures used against it by international countries are seen as harsh and against race.
Seems South Africa Cannot Take The Blows It Delves
South Africa was the first country to ban international travel and despite international countries complaining about the orders being impromptu and inconsiderate, they took the same measures, but now that international countries have reciprocated by placing the same measure, African countries are seeing it as a witch-hunt.
Borderline Unplanned
After all assessed and much that has been said, the leaders all sound like the international countries decisions is disrupting a lot of their plans and playing the victim. Every country should be responsible to its citizens first before thinking of foreign policy and the likes. And even if it is a witch-hunt, an Africa country started the ban and the international countries have little to lose compared to African countries, not after the rumours and information on how African leaders have created investment haven for themselves in these international countries.
